A Short Break

Happy Monday Dolls.
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.
Just a short post to let you know that I'll be taking a short break from the blogging world over the next week. A visit from my brother, my Mister going away for a month and uni assessments will have me slightly busy.
In the mean time, check out my list of blog links. They are all great reads, in fact, after reading them, you might be unlikely to ever visit my little blog again.

Before I go, thanks for all the blogging love. I adore reading all of your comments and the stats since I've been on Blogspot are amazing.

See you all in a week or so !

Pick a Team ?

 Batman or Superman ?
 Backstreet Boys or N'Sync ?
 Jen or Ange ?
 Puck or Finn ?
It kills me to type this but - Jacob or Edward ? ( Can you see me cringing ? )

Everyone likes to pick a team.

Every now and then, when a rainy day hits, I open up my dvd drawers and pick out a tv series to re-watch. I usually see things I missed before, feel different things depending on what's going on in my life and my perspective of the characters ( sometimes ) change.

This week, I have rewatched the first season of Gossip Girl. By the way, does anyone remember Chuck Bass looking so unattractive in the first half of this season ?

I used to consider myself a Team Serena kinda gal. I adored the character, and off screen, I think Blake Lively is just as amazing and of course, way beautiful.

But I have taken a turn this week.

I'm all for Team Blair and if you take away the money, the to die for clothes and the perfect hair, I see alot of myself in her ( personality wise obviously, I'm no where near as gorgeous as she is ! )

I know everyone has an opinion, so tell me Dolls, are you Team Serena or Team Blair ?

Happy Friday.

Everyones talkin' about Josh Goot

Okay, so maybe not everyone but I certainly am.

Let me give you a run down of my week. I do my usual blog browsing and over at Jade Musing, she has posted a picture of Anna Paquin and mentions how much she loves the dress.

Me and the Mister watch X Factor on Sunday night. And see Natalie Imbruglia looking gorgeous in this dress. ( Apologies for not getting a picture of her standing up )

Disecting the Brownlow Medal fashion, Lucy Cornes pops up wearing this dress. Which I still standby saying, the dress is fabulous, but no way it is Brownlow appropriate - in my opinion anyway.

And rewind way back to Febuary and Isabel Lucas wore this dress to the 'Daybreakers' premiere.

So naturally, after seeing this same dress pop up so many times ( which if you're interested is from the Spring Summer 2010 collection ), I had to check out the website.

While the dress above isn't on the website yet, the other designs are just as amazing. Click here to see for yourself.

Have a fabulous day darlings.

Link Love

First up, I just have to get me a Paris wall sticker. And paint a wall black. How fabulous does it look !

Next up, this weeks Link Love. Yes, I've decided to make this a regular thing because who doesn't like to share the love a little ?

First up Miss Lexi. What can I say, I adore her. And I'm loving that she is blogging again. Check out her 'Reward System'. If you're lacking inspiration/motivation for ticking off your to-do list, then this post is a must read for you. While you're there, read the 30 Day Movie Challenge.

Incase you didn't get enough talk of Brownlow fashion see The Mustard Jumper here, A Fatal Attraction to Cuteness here, Il etait une fois here and of course my very own here. And I will tell you, the verdict of the best and worst dressed are all very different.

Head over to Devine and see what Miss Corinne Devine has learnt lately.

And last but not least, Terrie Berrie's Beauty Blog talks Chanel.

What links are you loving this week ?

Are you a Gleek ?

Happy Wednesday Dolls !

I'm sure I'm not the only one who has been counting down the days until today.

We have all seen the ad, ( if you haven't see here ) and I'm absolutely loving the Glee take on Empire State of Mind. And let's face it, even if you're not a fan of the show, who couldn't be excited about seeing the return of sizzling 'Puck' to our screens ? Unless you're all for Team Finn.

If the promise of two attractive boys ( okay one attractive boy and one slightly annoying but sometimes sweet boy ) isn't enough to get you interested then surely you'll want to see the Britney appearance.

Thats right, Britney Spears is heading over to Glee this season ( Episode 2 - I think, don't quote me ) and the cast will also be singing several Britney songs including the hit from her 'pigtails-in-fluffy-pink-scrunchies-while-dressed-in-school-uniform' days, 'Baby, One More Time' - which incase you weren't sure, was years before her 'go-crazy,-shave-head-and-abuse-the-papparazi' days.

So if you're looking for me tonight, I'll be snuggled up on the couch at 7:30, watching Channel 10. Oh and for any 'Gleeks' out there, head on over to Twitter and follow this, this and this.

Tag - You're it !

I have to say, this is such a cute way to get to know other bloggers.

Anyways, the lovely Jade over at Jade Musing 'tagged' me and gave me these seven questions to answer.

1. What is your current favourite makeup item?
Always a tough one ( to just pick one favourite ! ) Napoleon Pro Palette Concealer. Three shades in the one tub so it's easy to get the colour you want and perfect for hiding the dark circles that have been hovering under my eyes.

2. What is your current favourite nail polish?
Lately, I've been loving anything turquoise, lavender and orange.

3. What is your current favourite item of clothing?
 Maxi Dresses !

4. Current favourite shoes?
A pair of nude heels I bought from Kmart ( no, not joking ) they cost me $20 - Bargain.

5. General dreams and aspirations for the future?
Finish my Bachelor ! And have another bubba.

6. Favourite animal?
Penguins ! Seriously. I'm obsessed. They are adorable and they choose a mate for life, which I think is so sweet.

7. Favourite jewellery accessory?
Well that's an easy one - my Guess necklace that the Mister bought me !

So darlings, to keep the love going, go on and answer these questions on your own blog !

Can you tell me..

.. How to get to Sesame Street ? Seriously.

Because it seems to be a celeb hotspot these days.

The latest ? None other than Katy Perry.

The adorable 'Teenage Dream' singer heads on over to Sesame Street to play with Elmo and sing a 'kid friendly' version of her song Hot & Cold - Roll on over here to check out the clip.

She isn't the first ( and won't be the last ) celebrity to make a visit to the famous street which homes Oscar the Grouch and Big Bird.

Past guests include Adam Sandler, Cameron Diaz, Sarah Jessica Parker, Jason Mraz and our very own Hugh Jackman. And the big upcoming one, Oprah lends her voice as a 'O' puppet hosting a 'tv show' doing interviews.

I must say that having a Sesame Street watching toddler allows me to sit down and watch it and it's suprisingly entertaining. I find myself giggling over the Sesame Street 'spoofs' such as 'Desperate Houseplants', Polly Darton and my favourite Law & Order : SLU ( Special Letters Unit ).

So if you'll excuse me, I'm off to make a cuppa and watch Sesame Steet attend to some housework.

Happy Tuesday everyone.

Brownlow Medal 2010

Now just between you and me, my Mister gets absolutely mortified that I take such an interest in Brownlow Medal Night - He is very much a Rugby League boy and no other sport will ever compare ( in his eyes anyway ! )

But what can I say, the fashion wins me over every time.

My favourite dress ? Lauren Phillips. She looked amazing in her Nicola Finetti gown.

And who could forget to mention the size of that diamond necklace around her neck ?! Only worth a mere $170 000 !

And I think Miss Universe Australia gal, Jesinta Campbell looked fabulous in emerald green. But I'm a bit of a 'ruffles' fan.

The worst dress, much easier to pick. It goes without saying, but Brynne Edelsten ( to me ) just look as trashtastic as always.

Perhaps it had something to do with the 'detachable' skirt part of her dress ? And that giant 'zipper' necklace which dangles way too far down into the 'booby region' if you ask me.

Moving on to Lucy Cornes. It's not the dress I don't like. In fact, Natalie Imbruglia wore the very same Josh Goot dress on 'X Factor' on Sunday night - and I think she looked fabulous.

I just feel like Lucy Cornes didn't get the Brownlow look right. Perhaps if someone had done something better with her hair, it might of helped. Anyway, to me, the whole look just seemed a little off.

Lastly, Congratulations to Chris Judd for winning the Brownlow Medal - keep in mind, I don't follow AFL at all, so if he is a bit of a moron, please forgive me.

You're turn Dolls. Who made your best and worst dressed list ?

Thursday Link Love

I am cheating and writing this on Wednesday while Pacman naps.

Although to be honest ( and only because I know none of my dear readers will ‘tell on me’ ) I should be studying, but you see ‘Farmer Wants a Wife’ is on tonight meaning I can’t blog then. You see the dilemma I’m in ?

Moving on ( I am on a bit of time frame dolls ) you know I’m a fan of a bit of link love especially when I come across some amazing posts. So, Follow Thursday anyone ?

Roll on over to Frock & Roll for some inspiration on inspiration boards. Okay, I made that sound a little confusing, just trust me. Click the link darling.

il etait une fois, as always hits the nail right on the head. This is the cutest post I have seen in forever.

You know over here, we I, am a big fan of Ms Critique so please do hop on over and see why she ( and the rest of the world ) is talking about TheO

I only just stumbled across this blog today, but just visit it . An Obsession with The Fabulous. Need a better reason than just cause I told you so ? This lovely blogger has a photo of her with Kim Kardashian. See ? I knew you’d go running !

Now I’m going to assume there is no one left reading this ( If the Kim K photo wasn’t enough to get rid of you, I don’t know what will ) but to any of the laggers ( there’s always one ! ) have a wonderful Thursday, and as always, if you have some links you love, send them my way darlings.

Is Jennifer Hawkins Loveable ?

I’ve mentioned Jennifer Hawkins on here before. Missed it ? Try here

And lately, she has been the centre of a few Twitter conversations, or more her two recent ads have been the centre of the conversations. She has also ( for some reason ? ) been the main topic of searches which have let people to this blog. So perhaps I should put aside the fact that I find her highly annoying and sign up to be her biggest fan ? And let's not forget her Marie Claire cover from the beginning of the year.

Anyways, haven’t seen the ads ?
Check out the Loveable ad here and the Myer ad here

The feedback I’ve read has been mixed.
Some love them. Some hate them ( This is where I put my hand up ). Some love one and not the other. You get the picture – everybody has an opinion. Even my Mister. He loves the Loveable one. Why ? Because she drinks a blue milkshake. And he has some odd obsession with blue milkshakes. And blue icecream.

So I put it to you dear readers, what do you think of the ads ?

And if someone could explain to me exactly what she is even doing in the Myer ad ( I still don’t get it ), it would much appreciated.

Take care Dolls,

Some Shoes News

Blake Lively is gorgeous,  ‘close’ with Anna Wintour and of course stars in the amazing tv show, Gossip Girl.
As if she wasn’t fabulous enough, she is now possibly the most envied woman in the world – she is going to have her very own Louboutin shoe :  ‘ The Blake’.

Check out the Grazia site for more details including a video interview and a glimpse at the shoes.
Before I love you and leave you though, I can’t publish a post about shoes without mentioning my beloved Choos.

We all remember when Nicky Hilton showed off her ‘Chuggs’ on a tweet she posted ( if you don’t, see here ) and there was alot of talk about them and it seemed many people thought they were down right ugly ( shame on them ).

The remaining styles have been revealed on their website and they are to die for ( though, I am definitely bias when it comes to Jimmy Choo ). Check them out for yourself and let me know which ones are your favourite.

My personal favourites ? A tie between the zebra and the ‘hobo fringing’ ! If only I could fit them into my budget, sigh.

Sorry for the short post today lovelies.

Enjoy the rest of you weekend.

My New Home.

Welcome Dolls, to the new home of The Girl in The Red Heels.

Please be patient, I know it's a little empty at the moment.

What do you you all think of the new look ? Fabulous if I do have to say so myself and on top of that, would you believe, I figured out Google Analytics aswell !

You know how much I adore a bit of comment love, so send some this way - I'm feeling a little lonely in my fabulous new home !

On the whole though, very excited about my move over here to Blogspot.

Have a fabulous day.

Shop & Tell

I’m putting this out there for all the Shopaholics who may have been a bit busy this week and missed the news.

Westfield is going to pay one very lucky lady ( or lad ) to shop their little heart out for twelve months, track down trends, travel, and report everything back to the online/offline/facebook/twitter/videoblog communities. Oh and one more thing ? They’re giving that lucky someone a whole $100 000 salary ( as well as benefits ) to do it.

Honestly, it’s a dream job.

All you have to do is pop online, fill out an ‘application form’ ( name, contact details, answer a few questions and upload a photo and/or video of yourself ) and you could become the ‘Westfield Insider’. Seriously, what are you waiting for ?

Now I’d be a lousy blogger if I didn’t leave you with a few links – you don’t want to be googling details when you should be on the path to your dream job ! So,  to read more about the job click here, fill your application form in here and don’t forget to read those pesky old terms and conditions here.

If you do apply, I would love to hear about it. And if you do, I honestly wish you the best of luck.
Have a lovely weekend Dolls. I’m turning the big two – one on Sunday and my Mister has a whole day of suprises planned ( I have to admitt, I’m kind of scared ! ). Would love to hear what you’ll be up to do.
